Danielle impressed us from day one when it was clear that her passion, insight and background in tech would help us achieve our mission of supporting Australia’s most innovative deep tech solutions.

A bit about Danielle

Danielle was recently awarded the University Medal graduating with a High Distinction average in Mechatronic Engineering with 1st Class Honours from Sydney University.

With experience in software engineering at Accenture, tutoring mechatronics, AI policy research with a number of organisations, and the world of start-ups as part of Blackbird’s Wild Future program, Danielle brings an abundance of technical knowledge and drive to our team. Danielle is joining us part-time as she finishes her Bachelor of Law Degree at The University of Sydney.

Danielle also co-founded Tech for Social Good, a community of ~200 early career people that use technology to help solve social problems.

Diving into Deep Tech

When asked about what excites her about deep tech, Danielle shared that she was drawn to the idea of being able to see innovations from ideation to commercialisation and beyond, and that deep tech’s endless possibilities are what drew her to pursue work with Main Sequence.

“With deep tech, the world is your oyster — you can make a large impact and go crazy with how far you can push the boundaries” she said, “there really are boundless possibilities”.

In her role as an analyst, Danielle will be helping Main Sequence in canvassing the ecosystem from a student and young researcher perspective, helping to reach out to startups and academics while learning as much as she can.

Outside of work, Danielle likes to watch films, read and explore new places, and like any true deep tech fan, is currently geeking out over the images captured by Nasa’s James Webb Space Telescope.

Please join us in welcoming her to the team — stay tuned for more from Danielle!
