Why it matters

Traditional Wi-Fi is inadequate for current IoT challenges

Many existing wireless communication solutions have high power consumption, low range, low data rates, poor security and are not compact. A new microprocessor is needed as the Internet of Things (IoT) advances.

How it works

802.11ah WiFi HaLow - the new Wi-Fi that will solve the most challenging IoT applications

Morse Micro have developed the IEEE 802.11ah technology which overcomes the fundamental weaknesses of existing wireless technologies offering ultra-low power, longer range, and secure connections at a higher capacity. The one chip solution incorporates Radio, PHY, and MAC as well as an optional Host Applications Processor, designed in compliance with the sub-1 GHz IEEE 802.11ah standard to power the IoT. The result is the smallest and lowest-power single chip that has infinite potential to solve IoT problems.

The WOW factor

The Wow Factor

The Morse Micro team includes original inventors of Wi-Fi and designers of Wi-Fi chips that have shipped inside billions of devices. Thus, the team has a one of the clearest vantage points to create the robust and interoperable wireless solutions of the future. The result is a chip that has 10 times the range and 1000 times the volume of data that traditional Wi-Fi provides, all inside a chip that is one-fifth the size of traditional processors.
