Why it matters

Pests threaten the viability of crops, leading to large and irreparable losses

Pests carry diseases that threaten the viability of crops, leading to extensive loss for farmers and the agriculture industry as a whole. Pest threats are often only noticeable when irreparable damage is already done. A real-time, accurate and farmer-tailored solution is needed to improve the efficiency and sustainability of farming.

How it works

IoT sensors can accurately detect and monitor pests, anywhere

RapidAIM’s smart hardware solution uses IoT sensor technology to accurately detect pest populations. RapidAIM leverages Telstra’s narrowband IoT network to ensure maximum coverage and facilitate real-time tracking on their mobile application. Farmers can monitor pest population trends and keep track of pest management method at a grid level. Immediate action can be taken to mitigate threats.
