Why it matters

Quantum computers are expensive and fragile, often requiring specific operating conditions and complex hardware - this has halted long term adoption.

By using synthetic diamonds, Quantum Brilliance's computers can operate at room temperature, without the need for complex laser or vacuum systems, allowing quantum computers to be used anywhere. Imagine the possibilities of quantum computers deployed in space, sea, remote sites, cars, hospitals, offices or mass installed in data centres. This unlocks seamless application possibilities.

How it works

Quantum Brilliance are creating the next generation of quantum computers, leveraging diamonds.

Diamonds have a nitrogen vacancy (NV) centre - in these centres, the diamond has the longest coherent time of any room temperature quantum state, allowing quantum computers to operate anywhere. QB leverages new capabilities in atomic-scale diamond fabrication and control techniques. This will enable making quantum computing an everyday technology in edge applications, through embedding quantum hardware across ecosystems and unlocking a new trajectory of quantum applications.

The WOW factor

The Wow Factor

QB working with Pawsey Supercomputing Centre installed the world’s first room-temperature quantum computer located physically on-site in a compute centre. This is an impressive demonstration of the ease of integration of a diamond quantum computing system in complex real world environment.
