Tara Pereira

Tara Pereira is the Head of Communications at Main Sequence, where she works with the investment team and portfolio founders to help deep tech companies find their voice — from first press release to breakout story.A communications specialist for over a decade, Tara has worked with hundreds of clients across space, quantum, biotech, semiconductors, defence, climate tech and energy. She joined Main Sequence from Sling & Stone, where she spent almost eight years building the agency’s deep tech practice from the ground up — a specialism that didn’t exist before she created it. As Associate Director, Deep Tech & Science, she led a team across a portfolio of 10+ frontier tech clients. Her campaigns include running PR for IAC 2025, the world’s largest space event; the launch of Space Machines Company’s Optimus, Australia’s first orbital servicing vehicle; Main Sequence’s Fund 3 announcement surpassing $1 billion under management; the unveiling of Nourish Ingredients’ Tastilux at SXSW; and the world-first unveiling of MGA Thermal’s renewable steam energy system.Earlier in her career, Tara worked at FleishmanHillard and Thrive PR + Communications, where she cut her teeth across a range of consumer and corporate accounts. Tara holds a Bachelor of Communications and Media (Journalism and Public Relations) from the University of Notre Dame Australia.
