Baraja has developed a very high performance LiDAR called Spectrum-Scan™ which helps address the challenge of self-driving cars. LiDAR sensors are part of the "eyes" of self driving cars and trucks. They bounce invisible lasers off objects in the environment to detect how far away they are. Each returning laser is measured to give a point of distance data which is combined to create a point cloud. The data, along with other sensors is processed by self-driving systems to perceive the environment they are navigating through.
